Supplemental Paid Sick Leave Program

Don’t miss this opportunity for a grant of $5,000-$50,000!

The California Small Business and Nonprofit COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave Relief Grant Program will award grants to “qualified small businesses and nonprofits” on a first-come, first-served basis to assist qualified small businesses and nonprofits that have incurred costs for COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave following Sections 248.6and 248.7of the California Labor Code. Grant awards can only be used to reimburse COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave provided between January 1, 2022, and December 31, 2022. Applicants must provide proof of employee payroll records that verify all COVID-19 Supplemental Paid Sick Leave provided by the applicant following the requirements of Sections 248.6 and 248.7 of the California Labor Code that match the amount of the grant request.

El programa estatal de Licencia Suplementaria por Enfermedad Pagada (SPSL) ofrece subvenciones a las pequeñas empresas y organizaciones sin fines de lucro, que hayan mantenido su nomina entre 26 a 49 empleados, durante el periodo del 1 de enero de 2022 al 31 de diciembre de 2022, y que hayan pagado la licencia por enfermedad COVID a sus empleados;  dicha subvención económica oscila entre los $ 5K y los $ 50K, con el objeto de cubrir los pagos debido a bajas por enfermedad presentadas y que aparecen en los registros de nóminas de las pequeñas empresas y organizaciones sin fines de lucro, conforme a los requisitos de las secciones 248.6 y 248.7 del Código Laboral de California.
